Greg Piwonka phones it in from Austin, TX, to fill the airwaves with nostalgic lyrics and wistful melodies. It's a downer, a beautiful downer to be sure, but through the sadness, a bright light shines. So before you turn off your computer and slit your wrists, take credence in the fact that Greg's songs are different. More than anything it's his deep and emotive voice that skips down the fine line between heart-tugging and bleeding-heart, and really ties the whole thing together into a nuanced, lo-fi package.
