Musician, teacher, and musicologist Nick Schillace phones it in from Detroit, MI. Brought to our attention by fellow guitarist Mike Tamburo, Nick takes a personal and found vernacular and pushes it through John Fahey's syncopated 'American Primitive' (Fahey's term) fingerstyle, creating another unique take on solo acoustic guitar. To give you an idea of his range, he also performs with post-rock duo In Door Park, bluegrass group Big Lake Trawler, and in the Odu Afrobeat Orchestra, and wrote a thesis on Fahey.
