Brooklyn's Frank Hoier phones it in from a friend's house in Woodbridge, NJ. Frank plays antifolk with an obvious nod to Woody Guthrie and the 60s NYC scene, though also inspired by Black Flag and Bascom Lamar Lunsford. Socially apt songs, often with a story behind them, involving an equal mixture of sarcasm, hope, desperation, humor, anger, and love. You'll most likely see him on stage at the Sidewalk Cafe, or playing down in the subway with a repertoire of Beatles and Dylan tunes. Remarkable, especially for such a young fellow!
