Christian Strom phones it in from Alesund, Norway, from the midnight shores of the Sunnmore district. C. Strom could be labeled a Norwegian outsider musician, considering his nervous energy, penchant for tape hiss, and traditional American source material, but make no mistake- his music is intentional and virtuosic. Instead of a late-night long-distance call (it's 1:30 am in Sunnmore), picture a cracked old record turning, a faded photograph. So nice it's hard to tell the difference.
