Julie Doiron phones it in from Sackville, NB. Formerly the bassist in Eric's Trip, one of the most revered Canadian indie bands ever. Solo since 1996, she's forged a distinct and brightly shining identity of her own, as well as collaborating with Herman Dune, the Wooden Stars, the Tragically Hip, Giant Sand, and Snailhouse. Julie's gorgeous songs find strength in fragility and nakedness, creating the slightly uncomfortable impression of listening to someone sing to themselves.

"Imagine Joni Mitchell on a blind date with Lou Barlow and you get close to the sound of Julie Doiron."

(Apologies for leaving the mic on during 'Ce Charmant Coeur"'.)
