Kristina Esfandiari phones it in from the offices of Banter Media & Management in Sacramento, CA. Comparisons to early Cat Power are inevitable, but Kristina creates her own ragged language. The girl rasps out songs as if her life depended on it- and it just might- songs where the empty space is just as important as the notes played, songs haunted by their shadow doubles, where ghosts live alongside the living.
